A revolutionary treatment in the field of cosmetic aesthetics

Hair is a malleable part of the Human body. Hair can grow and be cut. It can be straight, curled, waved, layered, gelled, sprayed, and now colored. Attractiveness can now be defined by women’s hair. On average people shed about 100 hairs a day, more than that can cause bald patches.

Don’t wait or self medicate. See a doctor now

PRP is a type of non-surgical hair restoration. We do not move any hair in this procedure. We stimulate existing hairs. In a hair transplant, we use or borrow hairs from more stable hairs on the back of the head and put them in areas of thinning. PRP can be used with hair transplant surgery. Some hair transplant surgeons have found that it may increase the survival of the transplanted hairs and may improve the scars left from moving the hairs. There is increasing evidence that PRP hair loss treatment can be beneficial and is quite promising in treating some types of hair loss, but it has not been proven given the current scientific data.

Let me take you through the process

What is PRP?

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is a revolutionary treatment used to regenerate your hair growth, enhance hair volume, restructures your scalp damage, improves scalp health and accelerates healing immediately after hair restoration procedure. The end result is a rich concentration of platelets in the plasma.

Once you are Okayed for PRP hair therapy, you will be given certain guidelines to follow, before the actual procedure.

How is PRP performed?

The PRP process is initiated by drawing a small blood sample of 20 to 60cc from the patient. This blood sample is then spun in a centrifuge that creates the concentrated PRP. After this, the PRP is injected in the areas of the scalp where treatment is required. Local anesthesia is usually administered to numb the scalp region for a sensation of pain.

The entire procedure is complete under an hour from start to finish.

After treatment,

PRP works on the principle of blood flow stimulation around the scalp. After the procedure, there could be slight swelling around the site of the treated scalp area. This is an indicator of the hair growth process. Hereafter, the hair follicles begin to emerge stronger and at a much faster rate. This process takes place within 6 weeks right after the treatment. As for hair growth, 3 to 4 months is the normal turnaround time for visible signs of results.

NOTE:  To improve upon the results, the patient can choose to go for a second PRP session as well.

A new hair begins to grow as soon as it is plucked from its follicle.
